1. Is that what causes the headshake when I switch sides? I’ll have to work on using my legs more.

2. A question I’ve had for a while; what’s with the little brake fluid cozies that a lot of race bikes have? Temperature control?

Nah. I'd call it a Code Yellow, though.

1. Yea if you are getting head shake moving from one side of the bike to the other it is because you are pulling on the bars as you do it. It doesn’t take much to get it shakin’ especially if you are on the gas and the front end is light! It is something that for sure takes some practice.

2. It keeps the cap clean so you don’t have to worry about crud falling in there then you pull the cap off, also keeps the sun off it so you don’t have to worry about the uv rays trying to break down the fluid. Honestly though, I really only have it on there because I had one laying around and everyone else does it. I don’t think it really does much :).

I wouldn't be surprised if it were both.

What they WERE for in the old days-I’m sure its better now- Is to catch any brake fluid the would get out of the vent in the cap. ( I have cut off toes from old socks on the mc’s in my race car.)

reminds me of speed wobble on a longboard. It felt like I was going to fly off at any moment. SCARIEST THING.

Been there, done that! Looking forward to your race reports this year, I’m going to try to get into some wera events around here (Michigan) this summer too.

That is interesting, I’ve never seen a reservoir with a vent. I guess they figure now if you are an idiot and overfill it tough shit I guess your brakes are going to lock up.

Nice, are there some decent tracks up there?

In Michigan right now there’s just Grattan (awesome track) and Gingerman (meh, pretty flat). I’m going to try to branch out and get to Putnam and maybe Barber this year though. As much as I can afford haha
